Marketing Director Graduates Leadership Dayton
Jackie D’Aurora, Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Graceworks Lutheran Services, graduated from Leadership Dayton, on June 11, 2014. Jackie participated in the program for the past 10 months along with 49 other leaders from a wide variety of other organizations throughout the greater Dayton area.
The 2014 graduating class worked on an intensive project to assist Montgomery County Future (MCOFuture) in workforce development. Specifically, class members are researching and identifying skills required for success in one of the identified growth sectors, information technology (IT). MCOFuture is a task force that was formed to benchmark successful, like-sized communities to determine what common factors exist that could help shape Montgomery County’s future. Leadership Dayton 2014 class representatives, working with MCOFuture, identified a need to research area companies with significant IT needs to assess skills required for success in that field.
More than 20 companies were identified for the assessment. Class members divided the list and each member participated in an interview with a company chief information officer. Once the data is collected and analyzed, the class will make recommendations to MCOFuture based on the skills gap identified.
Leadership Dayton, a program of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, is a premier leadership development program designed to identify, educate and motivate a network of community leaders and increase the individual’s capacity to serve the Dayton region. Selected participants learn through seminars, small work groups, panel discussions, direct interaction with community leaders, and a variety of experiential activities. Program participants live, work and serve in Darke, Butler, Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Warren Counties.
Jackie D’Aurora joined Graceworks in November 2011. She is the seventh Graceworks Lutheran Services leader to graduate from Leadership Dayton.
