Graceworks at Home honors their compassionate nurses

Today Graceworks at Home celebrated the dedication and hard work of their homecare nurses through camaraderie and a delicious breakfast. They enjoyed waffles with a wide selection of fruit and nuts for toppings.

Bonnie Smith, Graceworks at Home Administrator states “Homecare, and the nurses that work in homecare are uniquely special. As a nurse you have the responsibility and freedom and independence to make decisions that impact the patient and their family. This makes working homecare is both a challenging and rewarding endeavor. Our nurses do an excellent job caring for their patients.” She continues, “Nurses end up forming a very special relationship with the patients and their families.”

Pastor Bob Ashburn lead a prayer for all nurses to help them with their healing mission and completed individual blessing of the hands with those present. They then recited the timeless Florence Nightingale Pledge.

Florence Nightingale Pledge

I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all the personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.
