Bethany Village Thanks ITOP Volunteers!

On May 11, Bethany Village hosted a special volunteer appreciation luncheon for the students of the Integrated Transition Options Program (ITOP).  The students were recognized for their valuable contribution of  collectively almost 900 hours of volunteer service a month among 13 students.

Bill Serr, President and CEO of Graceworks Lutheran Services and Dr. Tom Henderson, Superintendent of Centerville schools, attended the event and are pictured with the students.

ITOP is both a Special Education and Career Technical Program for students with special needs ages 18-22. The ITOP curriculum provides students with opportunities for individualized career exploration, employability skills training, on the job training and transitional skills for independent living.  The partnership with Bethany Village has been in place since 1995.
