Bethany Village Residents, Staff To Take Part In Health Day

CENTERVILLE — Bethany Village will take part in National Senior Health and Fitness Day on May 28th. Both Bethany residents and employees will enjoy a day of special programming focusing on health and wellness.

The event is part of a national campaign to promote health among older adults. The theme of this year’s event is “Make a move toward better health!” Bethany residents will do a total of eight fitness-related activities, both inside and out (weather permitting). Residents will have fun and get moving while playing corn hole, lawn darks, chair volleyball, horse shoes, baseball toss, croquet and more. Through the activities, residents will work their hand/eye coordination, muscle strength, memory, balance and flexibility. No matter an individual’s skill level, the main goal is to get as many residents moving as possible. Activities begin at 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Most activities will take place in the Village Center Grand Room located at 6443 Bethany Village Drive, Centerville, Ohio 45459.

In the afternoon, residents will join Graceworks Lutheran Services staff members for a health fair featuring many stations including blood pressure monitoring, cancer screenings and glucose checks. The health fair will feature over 25 vendors in the Village Center Fitness Area and Vista Place Lounge. The health fair runs from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
