Active Aging Week at Bethany Village

Bethany Village residents interact with students during Active Aging WeekOn Thursday, Sept. 26, Bethany Village residents and 4th grade students from Cline Elementary in Centerville, Ohio joined forces for a stimulating workout as part of Active Aging Week.

The theme for this year’s Active Aging Week is “Discover Your Community.”

“We’re very pleased the students were able to join us on campus for our workout!” says Bethany exercise physiologist Craig Cole. “Exercise at any age is important… and I think our residents really gave the kids a run for their money.”

During the nearly hour-long workout, students and residents challenged each other in 10 exercises including the hip scoot, lateral arm raises, seated leg raises and more.

More than 3,000 organizations are participating in Active Aging Week this year.
