Highlight: Volunteer Support
Did you know that over 40 congregations provide volunteer support to the many ministries of Graceworks Lutheran Services? Thank you to all those who assist Graceworks to help persons in need experience dignity and wholeness.
TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, LEWISBURG, OH — faithfully supports the Eaton Once Around Shop and Emergency Assistance Program.
TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, MAYSVILLE, KY — enriches the lives of residents of Graceworks Housing Services at St. Paul Trinity Community.
MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, CINCINNATI, OH — blesses residents of Graceworks Enhanced Living.
EPIPHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, CENTERVILLE, OH — partners with Life Enrichment staff at Bethany Village to offer special programs for residents.
Many congregations are represented through the work of Graceworks Women’s Council, which has been actively supporting the programs of Graceworks for over 80 years. The Council works year-round to hand make over 500 individual Christmas gifts which are distributed to residents of Bethany Village, Graceworks Enhanced Living and Graceworks Housing Services.
THANK YOU to all congregations who support the work of Graceworks through your financial gifts, prayer, advocacy and volunteer service.
We invite Lutheran congregations to affirm their involvement with Graceworks Lutheran Services by becoming members. Through the covenant process, member congregations can commit their support in a number of ways: appoint delegates to annual meetings; appoint a Graceworks Lutheran Services Advocate as a liaison; provide financial support, plan and implement an event in support of Graceworks Lutheran Services; or supply volunteers. Covenant members can also offer support in ways unique to the congregation’s mission.
In turn, Graceworks covenants to help people experience the gospel of Jesus Christ through care and service by providing direct residential and community services on behalf of congregations. Graceworks will also assist congregations in their local ministry and provide opportunities for volunteers to participate in social ministry.
The Graceworks Lutheran Services Board of Directors approves submitted covenants at their quarterly meetings, normally held in March, May, August and November. For more information, contact Pastor Jim Bosse at (937) 534-7918, Pastor Larry Hoffsis at (937) 428-7394 or e-mail us at email@example.com.
