Senior Companion
The Senior Companion Program needs people 60 and over to provide friendship to their homebound peers and respite to caregivers. Volunteers must meet income requirements. Benefits include a tax-free stipend, transportation reimbursement, yearly physical, paid holiday, vacation and sick leave benefits.
Stephen Minister
Volunteers are needed to serve as trained lay ministers in Bethany Village’s Stephen Ministers program. Training is provided.
Sunday Service Transporters
Sunday Service Transporters are needed each Sunday to transport by wheelchair, residents from different parts of the Linden House to the Auditorium. Hours needed are 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Also needed are transporters for the Memory Support Units and the hours needed are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Bethany Bell Ringers
Extra positions are available for the Bethany Bell Ringer group which meets each Monday, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Twelve ringers are needed to fill the four and half octaves of hand bells. Performances not only include, Bethany Village, but many different locations in the Miami Valley. The leader, Dolores Anderson, says “basic music reading is helpful, but a desire to have a good time is essential!”
